Abstract submissions are invited by healthcare professionals on any topic relating to cholesterol and related conditions (for example, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, atherosclerosis)

Submission need not be related specifically to the conference topic.

Oral sessions:

A concurrent oral abstract session will take place on Thursday 6th July comprising the top 5 scoring abstract submissions in each Medical & Scientific and Primary and Healthcare.

Authors have 10 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions allotted to them for their presentation.
The session chairperson will stick rigidly to this timing template!
Presenters who overrun will be asked by the chairperson to cease their presentation.

Spotlight on poster session:

There will be an attended poster session on Wednesday 5th July and Friday 7th July.

We have taken your feedback on board!  New for 2023 we now have two poster sessions.

Spotlight on posters - meet the authors 

This informal unmoderated session invites all attendees to grab a drink and meet all the posters authors to discuss their work.

Delegates can vote for their "People's Choice" poster from both the moderated and unmoderated posters.

The prize will be awarded during the closing remarks on Friday.


Friday 7th July | 0850 - 0950 hrs
Spotlight on posters - moderated session 

This formal session is for moderated poster authors to discuss their work with the judging panel. Attendees are encouraged to come and support the authors and listen to the exchange.

Presenting authors must be ready with 3-4 bullet points explaining their poster which will be followed by 2 minutes discussion with the judges.

Prizes for oral and posters will be announced and awarded during the closing remarks on Friday in the final session.

Poster Board Size:
2m (top to bottom) x 1m (left to right) – PORTRAIT - (100cm Wide x 200cm Deep)
Your poster should be printed to A0 size (841mm x 1189 mm).

Please ensure:

1. Your poster is printed to portrait and NOT landscape size
2. That your poster is printed to A0 size (841mm x 1189 mm)
3. That you DO NOT print your poster onto material as this will not stick with velcro to the poster board and the use of pins is not allowed on the boards provided. We suggest you print your poster onto matte or satin finish paper with a paper weight of between 190 and 230 gramme.

Velcro only can be used to attach your poster to the poster board.
Velcro will be provided and will be stuck to your board ready for your use on arrival.
If your poster is of the material kind please bring 2-3 extra large bull dog clips with you to affix the poster to the board as the velcro may not adhere to the poster material in all cases.

Set up and removal:

You may erect your poster on Wednesday 5 July from 09:00 hours for informal viewing.

Please refer to the allocated poster number detailed within the programme book which will be handed to all attendees.
Your poster must be removed by 12:00 hours on Friday 7 July.
Any posters remaining after this time will be taken down for recycling.
